Mounting the Motor System Into the Rocket
Mounting the Hypertek motor system into the rocket is easy with the new standard size 54mm, 75mm and 98mm Hypertek motor systems. The 75mm and 98mm Hypertek motor systems have a motor adapter that make the fuel grain the same diameter of the oxidizer tank, i.e. 75mm or 98mm. The motor adapters have a built in nitrous oxide (N2O) venting tube that attaches to the venting plug on the injector bell. The motor adapter vents the N2O out the bottom near the fuel grain nozzle.
The 54mm motor systems do not have this built in venting system and you must either drill a hole in the side of your rocket or device another method of venting the N2O out of the rocket. It is best to always attach a rubber tube to the venting plug to ensure that the N2O is vented outside of the rocket.DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR EJECTION CHARGE, WITH A TIMER OR ALTIMETER TO INITIATE IT, INTO YOUR ROCKET!
